These are perhaps the ultimate walking sticks. All American, all natural, hand made. (Click on image to enlarge)
If you've ever been to Estes Park, Colorado, you know that the Elk are magnificent - and the bull elk are "ginormous". In springtime, the bulls shed their antlers, and grow a whole new set each year. These naturally shed antlers make some of the hardest, longest lasting walking stick handles we've ever used. John fits each one to a sturdy piece of hand-finished American hickory. He uses a straight piece of antler on the taller hiking staff and on the walking stick he uses the crown of the antler along with an elegant piece of buffalo horn as a spacer. Teddy Roosevelt would be green with envy - and your friends will be too. This is an all American heirloom.
Each one is custom crafted by Estes Park resident and acclaimed artist John Loftus. The walking stick is 38" tall and the hiking staff is 55" tall (it's easy to remove the rubber tip temporarily to shorten the stick for your particular height - instructions included). Includes leather wrist strap, rubber tip. Hang-tag signed by artist. Each one varies due to differences in antler and hickory.
