  
 We've found a desert plant that produces a new hiking stick every year! (Click on image to enlarge). Meet the Daisylirion Leiophyllum. Natives call it the "Desert Candle". From our desert Southwest, it looks like Yucca plant - but produces a bloom stalk every Spring that is 9 - 12 feet tall! These are light weight, but strong enough to be a great light-use hiking staff. Each one has a slight bow courtesy of mother nature. We have a narrow window to harvest these, and only have a select quantity each year.
